Papa Murphy’s Holdings Inc. announces a new trio of fresh BBQ pizzas available now through August 3. The limited-time offering pizzas start with thin crust, scratch-made dough, featuring sweet and smoky KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce and are topped with generous portions of 100-percent whole-milk Mozzarella cheese grated in-store daily with customers’ choice of chicken, steak, or pork sausage.

"We understand that creating great barbecue flavor is an art requiring hours of preparation and we wanted to create convenient fresh-made ready to bake BBQ pizzas families can bake or grill in less than 20 minutes. Our new BBQ pizzas deliver great barbecue flavor through our fresh made daily dough, fresh grated cheese and quality topping ingredients at an affordable price.”

Like all Papa Murphy’s pizza options, the BBQ pizzas are completely customizable and customers can add additional toppings from the Create Your Own line in store.

Calwell adds, “We were excited to be the first take ‘n’ bake pizza company and only pizza chain in attendance at the annual Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest last week, which is where we exclusively unveiled our new BBQ pizzas to thousands of hungry barbecue fans and connoisseurs. The response was overwhelming and we are eager to continue sharing our new BBQ pizzas with the rest of the nation today.”

To enjoy the great taste of Papa Murphy’s new BBQ pizzas, Papa Murphy’s corporate chef Michael Miyahara suggests pre-heating the backyard grill to 375 – 400 degrees and grilling for approximately 20 – 30 minutes. For an indoor option, he recommends baking in a 425 degree oven for 12 – 18 minutes.
