Following the success of their first restaurant in Long Beach, California, Ocean Market Grill has opened the doors to their first South Bay location, cooking up the freshest seafood along with healthy plates just in time for summer. As of the first week of June, the new location in Torrance has taken over the space previously occupied by The Counter in the Village Del Amo Center near the corner of Hawthorne and Torrance Boulevard.
For those not familiar with the eatery, Ocean Market Grill is best known for its carefully curated menu of fish tacos, salads and fish a la carte, along with their unique style menu that allows customers to build a variety of different entrées in a few simple steps:
First, pick one entrée consisting of a Fish Plate, Wrap, 2 Tacos, or the PO’ Boy Sandwich, which has pickled red onions, roma tomatoes, creole remoulade, and their signature OMG Sauce, all served on a ciabatta roll
Second, choose from quality pieces of fish, grilled to perfection. The fish options include Mahi- Mahi, Tilapia, Rock Cod, Salmon, Whitefish, Ahi Tuna, crispy Calamari, Yellowtail, or Shrimp
Third step, select a seasoning for the items including, garlic butter, blackened, or salt and pepper
Final step, pick your favorite side with options ranging from garlic or brown rice, charred broccolini, brussel sprouts, lemon sea salt cauliflower, tater tots, fries and more.
If building your own plate isn’t your thing, you can pick from the chef’s choices which include the Paleo Plate, consisting of your choice of fish with roasted sweet potatoes and broccolini. They also offer up classics like Fish & Chips and Crab Cakes in addition to their signature Lobster Grilled Cheese, which combines rich, meaty lobster, layered with melted mascarpone and provolone cheese, along with arugula pesto.
For those who prefer salads, Ocean Market Grill’s Kale Salad includes Tuscan kale, quinoa, Parmesan cheese, red bell pepper, almonds, sunflower seeds, grapes, honey vinaigrette. They also have the Mediterranean Salad, which is full of fresh cucumbers, avocados, red onions, cherry tomatoes, radishes, charred corn, and cotija cheese, topped with a vinaigrette dressing. Those looking for smaller bites have a variety of choices from Lemon Pepper Zucchini coated in a Parmesan panko blend and served with spicy ranch to their signature O.M.G. (Ocean Market Grill) Fries topped with creamy clam chowder.
