OddFellows Ice Cream Co., the modern yet nostalgic ice cream brand from James Beard Award nominated chef Sam Mason and co-owner Mohan Kumar, opens in Brooklyn’s Dumbo neighborhood (60 Water Street, Brooklyn NY). Located within view of the Brooklyn Bridge, the fourth location of OddFellows offers new menu items exclusive to the location, a rotating selection of OddFellows’ homemade ice cream flavors, and a unique wine and beer program which will follow in the coming weeks.

Inspired by the iconic Dumbo landmark, Jane’s Carousel, OddFellows introduces The Carousel, a large format, DIY sundae for two composed of three scoops of ice cream and a variety of toppings such as sprinkles, cornflake crunch, chocolate fudge, caramel sauce, chocolate pearls, and maraschino cherries, all served on a gold spinning tray. The opening menu also features:

  • Rotating Soft Serve Flavors including Pumpkin Spice and Vanilla
  • New and signature ice cream flavors like Yuzu Pineapple Green Peppercorn, Passionfruit Matcha, Olive Oil Strawberry, Vegan Coconut Caramel Crunch and more
  • OddFellows Banana Split with three scoops of ice cream, house made whipped cream, spiced almonds, and chocolate sauce
  • Pie a la Mode from Four & Twenty Blackbirds in Salted Caramel Apple and Bittersweet Chocolate Pecan
  • Grady’s Cold Brew Milkshake made with three scoops of Coffee Crunch ice cream and Grady’s Cold Brew

Later this fall, OddFellows will double as a happy hour and post-dinner destination with the launch of their first-ever beer and wine program, featuring a curated list focused on natural wines/organic producers, local beers, and composed beer and wine floats, boozy slushies, and savory snacks.

The interior nods to OddFellows’ signature, nostalgic look with red, white and cream striped walls, bold red banquettes, white and red subway tile, and gold flecked terrazzo table tops. A quirky mural by local artist Cerise Zelentz frames the space, showcasing carousel-inspired drawings that reflect both the neighborhood of Dumbo and OddFellows’ eccentric look.

OddFellows Dumbo is open Monday – Sunday, from 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.
