Penn Station East Coast Subs, the fast-casual restaurant known for its grilled, made-to-order sub sandwiches, hand-squeezed lemonade, and fresh-cut fries, joined Elara in its One Case One Meal program for hunger relief again last year. Through the program, Penn Station helped provide 4,638 meals to people struggling with hunger.

One Case One Meal provides meals in partnership with local food banks to feed people at risk of going hungry. For each case of Elara products purchased by Penn Station, Elara donates the financial equivalent of one meal to the food bank of Penn Station’s choosing. This is Penn Station’s second year participating in the program. In total, Penn Station helped provide 5,679 meals in 2015 and 2016.

“We are thrilled that our purchases helped provide almost 5,000 meals last year through Elara’s program to fight hunger,” says Craig Dunaway, president of Penn Station East Coast Subs. “Elara donated to Inter Parish Ministry in Penn Station’s name, and we are honored to help provide meals to this local food bank.”

Cincinnati-based Penn Station East Coast Subs features grilled sub sandwiches—including the chain’s renowned Philadelphia cheesesteak sandwich—and cold deli sandwiches made to order with high-quality ingredients on hearth-baked bread. The menu also includes fresh-cut fries, hand-squeezed lemonade, and chocolate-chunk cookies baked daily in the restaurant. Penn Station offers eat-in dining, carry out, and catering.
