Penn Station Sandwiches, recently rebranded from Penn Station East Coast Subs, is continuing its strategic growth with expansion into the Myrtle Beach market, marking a significant milestone for the brand. The updated identity and expanded menu have strengthened franchisee confidence and accelerated development opportunities across key regions.

The two new Myrtle Beach locations will be led by franchisee Eric Fairbanks, an experienced operator who owns nine Penn Station restaurants primarily in the Charlotte, North Carolina market. Fairbanks has been franchising with the brand for eight years and is expanding his footprint in partnership with Sait Perez through Penn Station’s Managing Owner Program.

“We’re incredibly excited to officially bring Penn Station to Myrtle Beach,” said franchise owner Eric Fairbanks. “After eight years of growing with the brand, I’ve seen firsthand how strong the foundation is, and the recent rebrand and menu enhancements have taken it to another level. Signing this deal feels like the natural next step in our growth journey, and we’re proud to expand into such a dynamic market with a brand we believe in deeply.”

A key driver of the brand’s recent momentum has been its refreshed menu rollout, which builds on the same iconic, fully customizable hot and cold subs guests have come to love, along with the brand’s award-winning fresh-cut fries and signature fresh-squeezed lemonade. The expanded menu now delivers even more versatility for guests and franchisees alike, introducing new options designed to meet a wider range of occasions, including sandwiches served on nine-grain bread, fresh-made bowls, wraps, boxed lunches, and catering offerings. Together, these additions broaden the brand’s appeal while maintaining the quality and customization that define the Penn Station experience.

According to Don Champion, Senior Vice President of Franchise Sales and Development at Penn Station Sandwiches, the brand’s recent transformation has been a key driver in attracting and empowering multi-unit operators.

“The rebrand has been a major catalyst for renewed energy across our system,” said Champion. “It has reinforced what makes Penn Station special while also modernizing the experience for today’s guest. Franchisees like Eric exemplify the strength of our system; experienced operators who are growing strategically and intentionally.”
