Today, Pie Five Pizza announced that it will begin a major expansion of company-owned restaurants throughout the Houston area, with its first location slated for an early 2014 debut.

“Houston is the natural next step for Pie Five’s expansion, now that we have a solid and rapidly expanding base of restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and more than 100 franchise units under contract in 11 states,” says Chris Smith, vice president of operations for Pie Five Pizza Co., a subsidiary of Pizza Inn Holdings. “It’s not an exaggeration to say that we’re changing the way people experience pizza, and I have no doubt our friends in the Bayou City will love what we’re bringing to their area.”

At Pie Five, guests can choose from more than a million combinations of handcrafted pizzas and a variety of specialty pie choices prepared in less than five minutes on one of four crusts.

The rapidly expanding chain is capitalizing on growing consumer demand for fresh dining options and artisan pizzas without the wait.

Pie Five now has 12 locations in Texas and one each in Kansas, North Carolina, and Utah. Total announced franchise restaurants under contract number 105 in Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.

Matt Keener with CBRE has been engaged to scout locations for Pie Five throughout the Houston area.
