Nour Rabai, founder and CEO of PITA Mediterranean Street Food, and the operations team have worked diligently the past few months to streamline operations in response to consumer demands. Since March, the Georgia-based fast casual brand has seen off-premise dining sales (including online orders and delivery) nearly triple.
In order to deliver fresh, delicious and authentic Mediterranean cuisine, the team enhanced online ordering and added Street Wraps to the menu to provide customers a customizable option that makes it from tablet to table, quickly and efficiently.
“With fewer guests demanding dine-in service, our faster operations and menu items allow us to get food out the door more quickly for delivery or curbside pick-up,” says Rabai. “We want to provide a fresh product that shows our passion for Mediterranean cuisine without the long wait.”
In the Atlanta market, PITA launched customizable Street Wraps that allow guests to create a delicious hot wrap packed with flavor and fresh ingredients. The unlimited options are convenient for both takeout and delivery, without sacrificing PITA’s fresh-to-order commitment. At a new Chicago location that will open late November, the chain plans to debut a “hot line” to shorten ticket times and enable guests to better customize their orders. Additionally, the team is developing a mobile app that will provide guests convenient options of curbside pick-up and delivery while improving sales and operations.
PITA recently opened its 35th fast casual eatery in Pooler, Georgia. Because the Street Wraps and improved operations allow for better profitability, the company plans to open at least two more locations by the end of the year and continues to look for optimal locations in new markets to continue the growth of the brand in 2021.
