Pizza Hut, the official pizza of the NCAA, March Madness, and the Final Four, is offering basketball fans one last chance to snag a pair of Pie Tops II and some free delicious pizza before the madness ends.

During the Final Four NCAA Championship week, March Madness fans, pizza lovers, and sneakerheads can visit eBay.com/PieTops to bid on the final four remaining pairs of Pie Tops II, which also include a year of free pizza, in support of The Literacy Project, an initiative designed to enable access, empower teachers, and inspire a lifelong love of reading. Fans can make their bids beginning March 26 at 11:59 p.m. CT through 11:59 p.m. CT on April 2.

Fans enjoying the Final Four games from home can still take full advantage of the two or more two-topping medium pizzas for $5.99 each offer from Pizza Hut.

“This year’s tournament has once again featured many unforgettable moments and as fans gather together to watch the Final Four, Pizza Hut wanted to offer them one ‘final’ chance to swoop up a pair of our Pie Tops II,” says CMO Zipporah Allen. “More importantly it was the perfect time to tie the tournament into The Literacy Project and our long-standing commitment to enabling literacy.”

One in five NCAA student-athletes was likely a BOOK IT! kid and Pizza Hut believes education is the key to unlocking a person’s full potential, and that educational success is rooted in childhood reading skills. For 33 years, the Pizza Hut BOOK IT! Program has nurtured a love of reading in more than 65 million students across the country, but the company wanted to make a greater impact. Building on this legacy, Pizza Hut established The Literacy Project in 2016 to raise awareness for literacy-related issues and engage consumers to help make a difference.  One hundred percent of the proceeds donated through The Literacy Project will benefit First Book, a nonprofit social enterprise, to help provide free books that are age-appropriate and culturally relevant to children in need.

“With a pair of shoes being sold every 1.5 seconds on eBay, we are delighted to present our shoppers with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to purchase collectible kicks for social good,” says Brenda Halkias, general manager of eBay for Charity.

Fans lucky enough to make the trip to San Antonio for one of the most exciting weekend in sports, can check-out the Pizza Hut Pie Tops Pop-Up and Slam Dunk Contest at the NCAA Final Four Fan Fest presented by Capital One on Friday, March 30 through Monday, April 2 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. As part of the experience, fans who attend will be able to enter for a chance to win one of 40 pairs of Pie Tops II.

Recently sold out in under ten seconds on HBX.com, and designed by Dominic Chambrone, ‘The Shoe Surgeon,’ the coveted Pie Tops II are offered in two unique colorways (wheat and red) and not only order pizza with the press of a button, but also pause live TV, so fans won’t miss a second of the Final Four.

The $5.99 two medium two-topping pizza deal does not apply to other menu items, tax, delivery charge, or driver tip.  Free pizza for a year will be rewarded as $520 in Pizza Hut gift cards. Pie Tops II are not generally available to the public and have limited functionality.
