Project Juice and Beaming Wellness have decided that they are better together. The organic, plant based clean food concepts announced that they have formed a merger that positions the combined businesses as California’s largest organic and plant-based, clean-food driven, quick-serve restaurant concept.

As part of the transaction, Equity38, a Newport Beach based private investment firm focused on consumer facing health and wellness companies, has made an investment in the brands. First Beverage, an early investor in Project Juice, will continue to advise and support the combined company. While the financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, the growth capital is slated to be used for continued expansion and ongoing innovation.

Forward thinking innovation has been the foundation of Project Juice and Beaming Wellness since they were first launched. Both brands further differentiate from competitors by offering an organic menu that is 100 percent free from most common allergens like dairy, gluten and soy.

The combined platform has a footprint of 16 organic clean-food kitchens in the Bay Area and Southern California, including locations within the Equinox locations in Pasadena and La Costa and Terminal One at Los Angeles International Airport. The clean food concept is now poised for significant growth, with two new locations under development in San Francisco and Newport Beach, respectively. While the menus and back-end operations will be combined in the coming months, the individual brands, Beaming and Project Juice, will remain separate for the foreseeable future.

Project Juice is a Northern California based company founded in 2012 with nine locations. Beaming Wellness is a Southern California based company founded in 2011 with seven clean food kitchens from San Diego to Los Angeles, including locations within Equinox at Pasadena and La Costa and Terminal 1 at Los Angeles International Airport.
