The Quizno’s® Corporation (Nasdaq:QUIZ) and Multifoods Distribution Group (MDG), a subsidiary of International Multifoods Corp. (NYSE:IMC), today announced that MDG will become the exclusive distributor of food and paper products to the Quizno’s restaurant chain in the United States. The three-year contract is effective Jan. 22, 2001.

MDG expects to add approximately 70 employees to serve Quizno’s, most of whom will be warehouse staff and drivers. It will service the new business from eight distribution centers, located in Anaheim, California; Atlanta; Dallas; Denver; Indianapolis; Orlando; Portland, Oregon; and Rice, Minnesota.
Quizno’s, which specializes in oven-baked submarine sandwiches, franchises and owns and operates approximately 1,000 Quizno’s Subs restaurants across the United States and in five other countries.
Multifoods Distribution Group, a subsidiary of International Multifoods Corp., is a distributor and marketer of food and other products to the foodservice industry in the United States. Based in Denver, MDG is a leading distributor to sandwich shops, independent pizza restaurants, vending operators and the office coffee service market.
International Multifoods is a manufacturer for and distributor to the foodservice industry in North America. The company also is a leading manufacturer and marketer of consumer foods in Canada.
