The Denver Business Journal is reporting that Denver-based Quiznos is suing its former director of operations, Michael Grodi, for allegedly stealing and using propriety business information, specifically related to franchising. Grodi, who left Quiznos in early summer 2006, is now the CEO of the Orlando-based Earl of Sandwich concept.

According to the DBJ, Quiznos first filed suit in Denver District court in early 2007. The case has since moved to federal court. Grodi and the Earl of Sandwich, LLC, also named as a defendant in the suit, have denied all claims. A scheduling conference is slated for July 16, reports DBJ writer Noelle Leavitt.
