Raving Brands has changed the name of its Mama Fu’s Noodle House to Mama Fu’s Asian House. According to a statement issued by the company, the change reflects a more definitive Pan Asian concept, with an expanded focus on vegetable-based dishes that originate from five distinct cultures — Vietnamese, Korean, Thai, Chinese and Japanese.
Mama Fu’s will also add three new entrees. Thai Green Bean with Almond features wok-seared green beans and yellow onions with toasted almonds in chili garlic soy. A second Thai addition, Thai Cashew Stir Fry, features broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, red bell peppers, water chestnuts, and zucchini with toasted cashews served in chili soy with garlic. Mama Fu’s has also added a Korean Cashew with a distinct Korean pepper sauce with sugar snap peas, cashews, and carrots over Napa cabbage.
“Because this is a young category,” said Martin Sprock, founder and chief exec of Raving Brands, “it’s the perfect time to take a leadership position in defining our place in this Pan Asian fast casual segment verses the existing noodle category.”
