Sweety and Satish Patel, franchise owners of a Red Mango Yogurt Café Smoothie & Juice Bar franchise in Chicago, were named a Franchisee of the Year award winner by the International Franchise Association (IFA), the world’s oldest and largest organization representing franchising worldwide. The award recognizes franchisees across the U.S. who have demonstrated excellence within the franchising community.

The Patels, owners of the Millennium Station store, were recognized at IFA’s Franchise Action Network Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., which brought together more than 300 franchise business leaders to raise awareness with policymakers and other D.C. influencers about the industry.

“IFA is proud to recognize The Patels’ exemplary efforts with the Franchisee of the Year award and as an outstanding ambassador for their franchise,” says IFA president and CEO Robert Cresanti, CFE.

The Patels’ location at Millennium Station 151 E. Randolph Street below the famous Millennium Park showcases an expanded concept, which Red Mango has been rolling out nationwide, that serves raw, fresh-squeezed, ice-filtered juices and made-to-order cafe meals under 500 calories in addition to the frozen yogurt, fresh smoothies, and parfaits that have made Red Mango famous.

“Satish and I are honored by this recognition from the franchising community,” adds Sweety Patel. “We have really enjoyed bringing this fresh business concept to the people of Chicago and being part of the Red Mango family.”
