Rise Biscuits Donuts, Durham, North Carolina’s, popular southern influenced concept which features gourmet sweet and savory donuts and mouthwatering flaky biscuit creations, has announced a new franchising deal for the state of Tennessee. The new multi-unit deal includes the entire state and all new units will open over the next seven years. Real estate options are being explored for the Nashville and Memphis territories for the first locations.
Rise was founded on the principle of bringing fresh, gourmet biscuits and donuts to new markets around the globe. Early in his career, Rise founder and American Culinary Institute trained chef Tom Ferguson crisscrossed the country in search of the very best comfort foods to inspire his gourmet donut and biscuit menu at his Durham restaurant.
The result is a menu filled with a tasty variety of creative donut flavors, including favorites like Apple Fritter and Pineapple Basil, and delectable biscuit sandwich options. Rise recently added lunch to their menu with sandwiches served on a biscuit or potato roll and a variety of premium and complimentary toppings and fresh made salads.
The new franchisee, Fred Fordin, has long been a fan of the Rise brand and is excited to bring the concept to Tennessee. “I am excited to have the opportunity to venture into markets that I enjoy with a product that I really love. Fordin is an entrepreneur with decades of business experience in markets across the U.S. His past ventures have included restaurants and catering both in New York as well as the Southeast.
Rise partnered exclusively with Fransmart, the franchise development company behind the explosive growth of brands like Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Qdoba Mexican Grill, to grow the Rise brand. This latest deal brings Rise Biscuits Donuts locations to ten states and 100 units currently in development with plans to add an additional 100 units this year through strategic multi-unit partnerships. Rise Biscuits Donuts currently has 12 stores open and is expected to open an additional 12—15 locations by the end of 2017.
