Coming in 2016, The Salad Grill aims to be America’s alternative quick-service drive thru for those seeking a healthy lifestyle. The first location is slated to open in South Daytona Beach, Florida, with a second location planned for California.

Founder LeighAnn Nesta says the Daytona Beach location is ideal because of its many draws, including Daytona State College and Biketoberfest.

The Salad Grill markets itself as a brand for every gender and age group.

This is for our upcoming generation of young people, people who are health conscious, people on diets, workaholics, new parents—people who are just running around crazy,” Nesta says. “They all need healthier food choices and the time saving convenience that The Salad Grill will offer.”

The Salad Grill will have fruits, vegetables, wraps, burgers, baked potatoes, and light desserts. This will give people more than 75 healthy food items to choose from including organic and gluten-free foods.

People can have their salads prepared for them or buy items to bring home by the pound, and fruit can be purchased whole, blended or by the pound. Wraps with all-grilled food, soy and vegetarian burgers from California, turkey burgers, and buffalo burgers from a ranch in Minnesota will also be offered. There will be a choice of baked white potato or sweet potato whole or sliced, and fat-free and sugar-free desserts.
