Saladworks, the nation’s first and largest fresh-tossed salad franchise concept, announces two new agreements with existing franchisees to further develop the Pennsylvania and New Jersey markets. The two sets of franchisees are former Saladworks customers turned business owners, planning to open their newest locations in 2011.

Franchisees Rami Barakat and James Roeder plan to develop a new store in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. The pair already own and operate stores in Montgomeryville and Lansdale, Pennsylvania, and expansion has always been a part of their business goals.

“We were interested in franchising because we wanted a support network – and we have that in Saladworks,” Barakat says. “We wanted to be multi-unit owners from the time we opened our first store, so we’re happy to be adding a third location in proximity to our existing stores.”

Husband and wife Victor and Cheri Cecchin are looking to open their second location in Washington Township, New Jersey, an addition to their location in Clementon, New Jersey.

With confidence in the Saladworks concept, the Cecchins knew they wanted to expand as well. “Once everything was up and running in our Clementon location, we were ready to start working on the next store,” Cheri Cecchin says.

“The large majority of Saladworks franchisees starts their business with one unit and quickly become multi-unit operators,” Saladworks founder and CEO John Scardapane says. “This is a real validation of the success of our brand and how closely the whole system works together. Saladworks’ success is directly related to the success of our franchisees, and we’re thrilled to watch them grow.”
