Salata, The Next Generation Salad Bar specializing in fresh, tossed-to-order salads and salad wraps made from a wide selection of more than 50 ingredients, will celebrate the grand opening of two new locations this month, continuing on its rapid growth trajectory. The Houston-based chain is set to open up to 40 locations by 2016.

On July 8 the chain announced its newest location in Dallas-Fort Worth, located at 7601 N. MacArthur Blvd., in Irving. The 2,400-square-foot restaurant is the eighth Salata location in Dallas-Fort Worth and is owned and operated by franchisee Mark Robbins, who also runs the chain’s Addison location at 4930 Beltline Road.

Later this month, Salata will open its newest Houston location at 10898 Westheimer Road in the Westchase business district. Houston native Tina MacInnes will own and operate the 3,300-square-foot location, along with her father, longtime Houston businessman Jay Tribble, formerly of Tribble and Stephens Construction. The partners plan to open additional locations in the Woodway and Katy neighborhoods of Greater Houston in the next 2 to 3 years.

The Westchase Salata will be the first stand-alone location, and will feature a pick-up window, also unique to this location. MacInnes plans an outdoor dining patio to be built after opening.

Earlier this year, Salata also announced new development agreements that will bring 20 Salata restaurants to Southern California by 2015.

Houston-based Salata was founded in 2005 by restaurateur Berge Simonian and business partner Tony Kyoumjian. The growing chain now includes 21 locations in Houston, Dallas, and Southern California.

Committed to high-quality, always-fresh ingredients, Salata also offers value – salads and wraps average between $8 and $12, with proteins including pesto, chipotle, or herb-marinated chicken or seafood offerings such as shrimp or salmon. Diners can also purchase freshly prepared soups, breads, and desserts or take home Salata’s house-made dressings, sold by the bottle in each location.
