Sarpino’s USA (Sarpino’s), a fast-growing pizza and Italian food delivery franchise, announced today its official expansion into Colorado with the opening of its newest location in Westminster. Marking the brand’s first location in the state, the Denver-area restaurant kicks off a string of expansion led by franchisees Samar Sawaged and Sid Demirovski, who plan to open four additional locations across the Denver metro area in the coming years. Located at 7243 N. Federal Blvd., the Westminster location generated some excitement for its Colorado debut by awarding 10 lucky winners free pizza for a year if they signed up for the loyalty program before the end of September.

“Sarpino’s will offer something different to the Denver area, with our artisanal approach to delivery pizza-making that only uses from-scratch methods and fresh ingredients – you can literally taste the difference in quality compared to other delivery concepts. Plus, we offer an entire vegan menu complete with pizzas, calzones, pastas, sandwiches, salads, and even plant-based tenders.” says Samar Sawaged. “We are thrilled to be opening our first of five Sarpino’s locations in Westminster and look forward to growing the brand in Denver for many years to come.”

Sawaged and her business partner Sid Demirovski are Denver-area entrepreneurs with more than 30 years of combined experience in business ownership, operations, and management. Demirovski has a longstanding history with Sarpino’s USA beginning at age 18 when he was hired as a manager at the brand’s Evanston, Illinois franchise. He worked with the local franchisee for six years where he learned the ins and outs of the business’ operations before eventually relocating to Denver in 2020. In 2021, Demirovski met long-time Denver resident Sawaged. In 2022, the duo signed a multi-unit franchise agreement with Sarpino’s USA to develop the brand’s first locations in Colorado.

“The opening of our new Westminster location marks the entry into our ninth state, a significant milestone for our brand,” says David Chatkin, president of Sarpino’s USA. “Denver has been a target market of ours for some time and we feel so grateful to have Sid and Samar spearheading our growth in the area. Sid’s intimate knowledge of our operations combined with Samar’s experience in owning businesses sets them up for success and we’re excited to see all they accomplish together.”

Since entering the U.S. in 2002, the delivery focused Sarpino’s has grown to nearly 50 locations and developed a reputation for blending Old World Italian authenticity and American ingenuity. It offers a robust menu with roots traced back to Calabria in Southern Italy and a convenient, seamless, and technology driven customer experience. Today, Sarpino’s offers more than 60 specialty and gourmet pizzas, roughly 20 calzones and 20 sandwiches, 12 pastas, 11 salads, three bone-in wing flavors, and a variety of appetizers, plus an entire separate vegan menu. In a world of sameness and low-quality, factory-made pizzas, Sarpino’s USA has forged an entirely different path and makes its food from scratch, taking an artisanal approach to pizza-making simply not found in big chains.

The Westminster Sarpino’s is open Sundays – Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Thursdays – Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m.
