In the spirit of making life “Lotz Better,” Schlotzsky’s wants to ease tax day stress for consumers. On April 15, the chain will offer a free small The Original sandwich to infuse some of their classic bun fun into one of the most chaotic days of the year.
“On tax day and the weeks prior, people are inundated with mounds of paperwork, long lines, and financial burdens,” says Kelly Roddy, president of Schlotzsky’s. “On this day, we love to give our customers a reason to visit to our upbeat stores, kick back and enjoy our favorite sandwich, The Original, to celebrate the completion of the tax season.”
Schlotzsky’s restaurants nationwide will give away one free small The Original sandwich with the purchase of a 32-ounce drink and a bag of chips. Guests can upgrade to a medium The Original for just one dollar.
The Original sandwich features 13 ingredients to create one craveable sandwich experience. The Original is topped with smoked ham, genoa and cotto salamis, melted Cheddar, Mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. It’s layered with black olives, red onion, lettuce, tomato, mustard, and signature dressing on Schlotzsky’s toasted sourdough bread.
