Jim Clough will join The Schwan Food Company on August 9 as president of Schwan’s Food Service Inc. Clough brings with him more than 25 years of sales, marketing, strategic planning, and leadership experience within the food industry.


As president of Schwan’s Food Service, Clough is responsible for the direction and growth of a Schwan subsidiary that markets and distributes frozen-food products to public and private schools, universities, health-care facilities, convenience stores, and chain restaurants through more than 1,800 active distributors.

Clough most recently served as president of Fresh Start Bakeries North America, where he was responsible for sales and 18 manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Canada. He also has held leadership positions with companies such as Heinz North America, ConAgra Foods, and Bunge Foods Group.

He received a master’s degree from Baker University and a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from the University of Akron.
