Scooter’s Coffee, one of the fastest growing franchises in North America, has selected First Data and TruBeacon Inc.’s innovative solutions to streamline its business operations. As part of the deal, Omaha-based Scooter’s will implement Clover Point-of-Sale (POS) systems at most of its 125 locations and at all future locations. Through TruBeacon’s multi-location management, order display system, and enterprise reporting solutions, Scooter’s will gain comprehensive performance insights and efficiencies.

“We anticipate that Scooter’s Coffee will grow to as many as 140 stores across nine states by December 2015, and we need an EMV compliant, high performance POS system that will improve our customers’ interaction with our baristas, while providing complete visibility into our operations,” says Clay Cox, president of Scooter’s Coffee.

“With this deal, customers will have the flexibility to pay with their payment method of choice, including the Scooter’s gift card or via the Scooter’s mobile app (currently in beta testing),” Cox adds. “The Clover Mini is durable, sleek, extremely easy to learn, and cost-effective. Using Multi-location by TruBeacon software on Clover, we now have the ability to make pricing changes, menu updates, and inventory changes at one store, a group of stores or across the entire franchise with just one click.”

The recently launched Clover Mini is a comprehensive business solution helping to streamline operations, expand business and customer intelligence, and improve the customer experience while facilitating safe, secure transactions. Clover Mini enables businesses to accept most payment types, including card swipes, PIN debit, EMV, and NFC transactions.

Scooter’s will also be converting to First Data’s merchant processing, First Data TransArmor data protection security and the First Data Value Link gift card program.
