Pizza Factory announced that longtime Pizza Factory fan and experienced restaurant operator is taking over ownership at the Atwater location, following the success of the previous owner’s long-standing commitment to the brand. Nick Ahnen will now handle daily operations at the restaurant alongside his wife Josslyn.

Pizza Factory is a 35-year-old, go-to neighborhood spot to experience family-friendly dining, high-quality meals and a hardworking staff that’s passionate about service. Known for its close-ties to each community that its restaurants serve, Pizza Factory continues to break waves in the industry and skyrocket as a leader in the pizza space.

“As I was looking for my next business venture, I came across Pizza Factory in Atwater and knew it was the perfect opportunity because for so long, I’ve truly loved all that the brand has to offer,” Ahnen says. “Pizza Factory is not only entrenched in the communities it occupies, but also provides a reliable investment from a business standpoint as its authentic model sets each restaurant up for success. During a time when the pizza industry is booming, the Atwater restaurant will definitely provide longevity as a business owner.”

Working in varying restaurant settings, from the assistant manager at a KFC to a local restaurant in Hawaii, Nick is familiar with what it takes to run a successful operation. After his initial time in the restaurant industry, he transitioned into commercial finance to expand his skillset. Additionally, Josslyn has extensive experience in store management, leading employees for 20-plus years at GAP and developing exceptional customer service skills. Now, looking to diversify their portfolio and go into business for themselves, Pizza Factory becomes the obvious choice, especially after being loyal customers at the Atwater location for years.

“Pizza Factory in Atwater has a long-standing role in the community and I’m confident that Nick and Josslyn will uphold its strong reputation,” says Pizza Factory CEO Mary Jane Riva. “The duo emulates the brand’s culture in every way. From being longtime fans of Pizza Factory to their extensive operational background in the restaurant industry, launching into ownership of the location that started their love for the brand could not be more perfect. I’m confident the Ahnen’s close-ties to Pizza Factory combined with Nick’s diverse background in operations and finance will drive the Atwater restaurant to continued success.”

Unlike other quick-service pizzerias, everything on Pizza Factory’s menu is prepared fresh with ingredients, such as hand-grated 100 percent mozzarella cheese, slow-cooked meat sauce and meatballs that are hand rolled in-house. As a differentiator, the concept also offers a wider menu variety than most with hot and cold sandwiches, pastas, chicken wings, beer, wine and more.
