Slapfish founder and Food Network’s Food Truck Face Off personality, chef Andrew Gruel, introduced a Little Sharks Menu at Slapfish’s Huntington Beach and Laguna Beach locations. In an effort to get kids to eat more nutritious and delicious brain food, the modern seafood shack has taken its commitment to sustainable seafood one step further with the introduction of kid-friendly classics with a Slapfish twist.

By offering complimentary, kid-worthy seafood dishes every Wednesday, Slapfish is educating kids about the importance of eating a healthy, balanced diet. Seafood is an important component of a healthy diet, especially for pregnant women and children as it supports growth and development while offering heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids, lean protein, vitamins, and minerals.

"The importance of maintaining a balanced diet at young age helps kids make conscious dining decisions throughout the rest of their life," says Gruel, who recently celebrated the birth of his son. "The introduction of our Little Sharks Menu allows us to help parents satisfy their child’s cravings while also supplementing their growing dietary needs with the freshest, sustainably caught seafood."

The Little Sharks Menu includes Potato Crusted Grilled Fish Tenders, Shrimp and Lobster Tea Sandwiches, Mahi-Mahi Quesadilla, Petite Lobster and Crab Grilled Cheese, Crispy Fish Bites, and Flatbread Pizza with Crispy Salmon.

The Little Sharks Menu is offered daily and can be enjoyed by children under 12 for free every Wednesday.
