Sloan’s Ice Cream announced that it has awarded the first franchise location outside of South Florida to local San Diego entrepreneur Ali Hajisattari. The announcement comes just a few weeks after revealing that the brand had solidified its Westfield UTC local in San Diego.

“Ali is exactly the right person to grow the brand in California ” says Sloan Kamenstein, CEO and founder of Sloan’s Ice Cream. “His business expertise is outstanding, and we are confident that he will continue to uphold the excellent reputation that Sloan’s Ice Cream has garnered with its customers.”

Hajisattari brings years of industry business experience to his new position as a Sloan’s Ice Cream franchisee. After running international retail and manufacturing companies and overseeing operations, he is transitioning into ownership with Sloan’s and plans to focus strictly on establishing the brand in the new market. A father to a five-year-old daughter, Hajisattari was drawn to Sloan’s due to the wide variety of toys and novelty products offered, as well as the family-friendly atmosphere the store encompasses. Hajisattari is planning on making his Sloan’s franchise a familial affair, and will have the assistance of family members in day-to-day operations.

A sweet retreat known for its colorful presence throughout South Florida, Sloan’s is making its anticipated arrival to the West Coast. The concept combines innovative ice cream flavors with eye-catching store elements, including pink and neon green walls and signage, as well as candy, pastries, and toys. Opening on the high-end mall’s main level, Sloan’s will be situated adjacent to the movie theater and kids play area.
