Snappy Salads, an award-winning, high-quality salad restaurant, was named Tour Sponsor for Tour de Fresh, a one-day regional cycling event benefiting the Let’s Move Salad Bars to Schools campaign. The Fort Worth ride will take place on October 1.

Snappy Salads’ Fort Worth location (6115 Camp Bowie Blvd at Westridge Avenue) will host the starting and finish line ceremonies, which will include healthy snacks and a post-race lunch. In addition to the sponsorship, all ten Snappy Salads locations will have “Change for Change” collection jars for guests who want to donate to the campaign.

“We enjoy giving back to the community that supports us and are always looking for ways to partner with like-minded organizations,” says Chris Dahlander, founder and CEO of Snappy Salads. “Tour de Fresh aligns perfectly with our core values of promoting good food and good health.  Our goal is to have 200 riders so that we can make a real difference.”

Snappy Salads received the “Restaurant Neighbor Award” from The Texas Restaurant Association for its commitment to the community and has supported such events as Movember (men’s health awareness), Days of Taste (nutritional education for underprivileged youth), and holds electronic waste recycling events twice a year.

Proceeds from Tour de Fresh will benefit the Let’s Move Salad Bars to Schools campaign which aims to provide a salad bar in every U.S. school. Registration for the ride can be completed online. Participants can choose between a 68-mile (100K) or 20-mile ride, giving everyone from avid cyclists to local families the opportunity to participate.
