Sonic Drive-In, the nation’s largest chain of drive-in restaurants, today announced Sarah Beddoe as its new vice president of national marketing. In this role, Beddoe will be instrumental in crafting Sonic’s strategic marketing plan, marketing calendar, and innovative product pipeline.

“I’ve been a Sonic fan for a long time, and it’s exciting to advance my career with a team and brand who continually differentiates itself with new ideas in and out of the kitchen,” Beddoe says. “I look forward to joining such an innovative company and bringing my talents to the marketing team.”

Prior to joining Sonic, Beddoe served as director of digital experience and social engagement for Pizza Hut in Dallas and brings more than 10 years experience in quick service and retail experience. In her previous roles at Pizza Hut, Beddoe was responsible for all ecommerce platforms—including website, mobile apps, and online advertising—in addition to loyalty and CRM. She also created and led the execution of high-impact marketing plans, promotional calendars, and new product pipelines. Prior to her time at Pizza Hut, Beddoe worked at Neiman Marcus Group.
“We focus on recruiting talented people to our team and we are pleased that Sarah will be joining the family in Oklahoma City,” says Todd Smith, chief marketing officer for Sonic. “Sarah has the right blend of brand management, digital, and advertising in a franchised business that will propel our marketing strategy and consumer experience forward.”

Beddoe received a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Texas A&M University at Galveston, Texas.

With the addition of Beddoe, Sonic continues to focus on the development of its people as the critical component of the company’s overall growth strategy.
