Taco John’s is adding a new option to its breakfast lineup. After successful market tests, the Mexican quick-service restaurant chain is putting the Chicken and Gravy Breakfast Burrito on its full-time menu.

“As we expand across the country, offering innovative flavors is extremely important,” says Billie Jo Waara, Taco John’s CMO. “We’re headed into some large, competitive markets, so offering something guests have never seen before could convince them to come in and see what we’re all about.”

The Chicken and Gravy Breakfast Burrito blends the taste of a traditional country breakfast with signature Taco John’s flavors—wrapping Crunchy Chicken, Potato Olés, cheese, hot sauce, and sausage gravy in a warm flour tortilla.

“Guests were extremely receptive to the item when we tested it, and we’re looking forward to bringing it nationwide,” says Bob Karisny, vice president for Menu Strategy and Innovation at Taco John’s. “Consumers have more breakfast options than ever, but the Chicken and Gravy Breakfast Burrito offers the kind original flavor that makes us stand out from the rest of the pack. It really is unique.”

Taco John’s visitors can order the new burrito at participating locations starting September 5.
