Technomic announced the addition of Susan Szymanski to the Technomic leadership team as executive director of events and new media.

“Susan will bring her vast knowledge of the event space and the online publishing field to Technomic’s portfolio of products and will be instrumental in building new growth platforms for us,” says executive vice president Darren Tristano.

Prior to joining Technomic, Susan was the SVP and group publisher of the Foodservice Group at CSP Business Media, where she was responsible for the print, online, and event properties of Restaurant Business and Foodservice Director. Susan’s vision was to integrate print, online, and events, taking publishing to a new level. Among other accomplishments, she led the successful incorporation of tablet technology to the Restaurant Business brand, the movement of the reader from print to online using content migration, conference applications, and the utilization of content as a new marketing tool in print and on the Web.

Prior to CSP, Susan was the publishing director for Nation’s Restaurant News (NRN), where she built an online portfolio of products that had record growth and sales in her final years at NRN. Susan resides in Chicago and will be located at Technomic’s 300 S. Riverside Plaza offices as of March 3, 2014.
