Togo’s Eateries, Inc., a “West Coast Original” since 1971, announced today the signing of two multi-unit franchise agreements with new franchisees to develop two restaurants in the East Bay area and three in the San Fernando Valley.

As part of this development, Mary Zinchiak will open two locations in Walnut Creek and Lafayette, California, over the next two to three years, with the first slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2015. Additionally, Tom Menik will develop three restaurants in the San Fernando Valley and is targeting cities such as Glendale, Northridge, Chatsworth, Encino Tarzana ,and Sherman Oaks for development. The first restaurant is anticipated to open at the end of the year.

“We’re excited to start 2015 with these latest franchise agreements in California and look forward to working closely with our new franchisees to grow their businesses,” says Tony Gioia, chairman and CEO of Togo’s Holdings, LLC. “This year, we will continue to leverage Togo’s brand heritage and large, loyal customer following that it has built over the past 44 years to fuel development in California and throughout the West.”

Togo’s, which has more than 300 locations open and under development throughout the West, has experienced five consecutive years of same-store sales increases. To drive expansion in key growth markets, the brand offers reduced royalty fees to new and existing franchisees who sign a new agreement to open three or more locations in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, and Arizona. Additionally, franchisees will benefit from $10 million for remodels and transfers, as well as $5 million to build new restaurants.
