The Trabon Group, a nationally recognized and awarded marketing services and technology solutions company, named Shawn Nicholas CEO. Nicholas has been Trabon’s CFO since 2013. Tim Trabon, owner and former CEO for over 50 years, remains chairman.

“Shawn has had a tremendous impact across our organization,” Trabon says. “This appointment acknowledges his significant contributions to the management and growth of the business in recent years.”

Trabon offers marketing, custom software development, printing, fulfillment and distribution services to over 10,000 restaurant locations nationwide. Michael Trabon started the company in 1950 when he installed a printing press in his home’s basement. His death in 1968 resulted in his son, Tim, inheriting that press at the age of 17. Tim took over the operation of the press and has grown the once printing-centric Trabon business into a service organization serving premier customers in the restaurant and other industries.

“Trabon is a top-notch company with a rich heritage of customer care and innovation, and I’m honored to be part of it. I look forward to continuing to help our customers grow their businesses,” Nicholas says.

Nicholas, a Baylor University graduate, joined the Trabon leadership team as CFO in 2013. He previously served as the managing director and CFO of the North American operations of Baader, an international manufacturer of innovative machinery for the food processing industry, from 2002 to 2012, and in various leadership positions within Huhtamaki Americas, an industry leader in technologically advanced food packaging solutions, from 1992 to 2001. He and his wife, Jan, have raised four sons and enjoy the company of three grandchildren. They reside in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
