Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint announced an agreement to develop three restaurants for Ocala and Marion, Lake, and Sumter counties in Florida. In addition to the Ocala area, Uncle Maddio’s has development agreements to build three more Uncle Maddio’s in the Tallahassee area and five more units in the Jacksonville and Gainesville areas. Uncle Maddio’s has named Florida as a priority market and will build nearly 30 total units throughout the state in the next five years.

The Ocala, Florida restaurant will be owned and operated by local resident Kim Ragle. Kim has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Exercise Physiology. She is currently a practicing registered nurse in Ocala.

“We wanted to bring this new trend of fast casual style pizza to this area of Florida,” Ragle says. “We had looked into other fast casual opportunities and met with the Uncle Maddio's team in Atlanta and was impressed with the "served with love" philosophy, its exceptional quality product and a proven business model.”

Ragle is married to life-long Ocala resident Ritch and the couple has two children and is active in the community.

Operating 25 locations in 13 states and 225 units in development, Uncle Maddio’s will open 12 restaurants this year, earning a 200 percent growth rate in 2013, 2014 and projected 2015.

In addition to the Ocala, Florida deal, Uncle Maddio’s recently announced it has targeted plans for franchises in Orlando, Tampa, and southeast and west Florida. The restaurant chain is currently accepting applications from potential franchisees to build these markets.  Local entrepreneurs are invited to contact the brand’s franchise development team at the Uncle Maddio’s website.
