Wayback Burgers teamed up with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment to celebrate the October 11 release of Ghostbusters on Blu-ray and DVD, introducing frightfully fun limited-time-only menu items available through October 31 at locations nationwide.

Guests are invited to strap on their proton packs and zip on over to their local Wayback Burgers restaurant to enjoy supernatural specials good enough to scare away any ghosts, including the new Ghostbustin’ Burger—two all-beef patties layered with pepper jack cheese and topped with a spicy ghost pepper sauce—and side of Mac & Cheese Bites with Ghost Pepper Sauce. For a sweet treat oozing with gooey green goodness, its Stay Puft Slime Milkshake blends creamy vanilla bean ice cream with toasted marshmallow flavoring, slimed with kiwi lime sauce and topped with mini marshmallows. Guests are encouraged to share their ghostbusting grub using the hashtag #Ghostbusters on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook.

“The new Ghostbusters is an iconic film that is loved by millions of people, and its return gave us a unique opportunity to create exciting menu items inspired by the pop culture phenomenon,” says John Eucalitto, president of Wayback Burgers. “Much like Ghostbusters, Wayback Burgers is a brand rooted in nostalgia, so the partnership made perfect sense. We look forward to bringing our new Ghostbusters-themed menu items to generations of loyal fans, and hope they are as excited about them as we are.

Wayback Burgers offers  burgers, cooked to order, available as a single, classic double, triple and triple triple (nine) patty, and rich, thick milkshakes, served in an environment that hearkens back to a simpler place and time—when “customer service” meant something and everyone felt the warmth of the community. Going “way” beyond the burger, Wayback Burgers offers crispy and grilled chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, turkey burgers, fresh salads, and sides, including fries, onion rings and House-Made Chips.
