Whataburger is continuing its growth across the Carolinas with a new location opening in Rock Hill on Thursday, July 16, adding another destination for fans craving the brand’s iconic burgers, breakfast favorites and signature hospitality.

To celebrate the opening, the restaurant is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m., inviting local residents, business leaders and community partners to officially welcome Whataburger to the area. Guests attending the celebration can enjoy giveaways throughout the morning, including complimentary Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits for the first 100 customers and exclusive Whataburger swag.

Operating Partner Santiago Zamora, Field Marketing Managers Hassy Braggs and Lauren Yoder James, Growth Market Leader Preston Hughes, Brand Leader Shirley Belue and Training Manager Jake Chastain are expected to attend the celebration alongside additional Whataburger leaders and community guests.

The new restaurant is designed to serve as a convenient stop for both residents and visitors, whether grabbing breakfast on the way to work, meeting friends for lunch or satisfying late-night cravings. Guests can expect Whataburger staples like the made-to-order #1 Whataburger, crispy fries, Whatafreshers and hand-spun shakes, all customized and prepared fresh to order.

As Whataburger continues expanding throughout the Southeast, the Rock Hill opening represents another investment in the local community through new employment opportunities and long-term growth across South Carolina. The new location is expected to employ between 65 and 75 Family Members, creating new job opportunities in the Rock Hill community.

The restaurant will initially offer service through the drive-thru and front counter, with operating hours from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. Guests can also order ahead through the Whataburger App, where customers can earn rewards, redeem offers and stay connected on upcoming restaurant news and openings.
