Biscuitville Fresh Southern announced the Triad Business Journal has named Kristie Mitchell, the Chief Marketing Officer at Biscuitville, a 2024 Outstanding Woman in Business.

Annually, the Triad Business Journal recognizes recipients from the Triad in the Outstanding Women in Business category, evaluating female business leaders who are making a difference in the local economy and in the Triad community.

Winners will be honored during a special ceremony at the Cadillac Service Garage event venue on Thursday, April 25.

Kristie Mitchell joined Biscuitville in 2015, when she was asked to co-lead the company’s comprehensive rebranding of all restaurant remodels, rebuilds, and new locations. Today, all the properties across the multistate enterprise feature the rebranded design. Mitchell was promoted to Chief Marketing Officer in December 2022.

In 2022, Mitchell assisted in the creation and launch of the company’s employee-focused RISE Fund, which she now co-leads. The mission of the RISE Fund is to help employees who find themselves coping with unforeseen financial hardships. Since the launch in 2022, the fund has assisted many employees in unpredictable situations. With the impact the fund has had and will have on employees for decades to come, Mitchell considers this a significant career accomplishment.

“At Biscuitville, two of our most important values are authenticity and integrity. While Kristie’s professional talents are impressive and speak for themselves, it’s her ambassadorship of Biscuitville culture that makes her shine,” says Biscuitville Chief Executive Officer Kathie Niven. “She puts people first in all that she does and commits wholeheartedly to their engagement, development, and success. Kristie is a shining exampling of an outstanding woman in leadership, paving the way for others.”
