Biscuitville Fresh Southern is celebrating National Women’s History Month and this year’s theme of “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion” by highlighting two Biscuitville women of inspiration: Chief People Officer Belinda Kyle and Benefits and Compensation Manager Melinda Webster.

In tandem with Women’s History Month, this year’s International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8th, challenges all to #InspireInclusion. In the spirit of women inspiring other women and how that can impact one’s career and work experience, Belinda Kyle shares that Melinda Webster has been a grand source of inspiration during her time at Biscuitville.

“Melinda has shown me the importance of putting others first while keeping yourself whole. She has a positive attitude and looks for the silver lining in tough situations,” recounts Belinda. “Whenever I face a challenging issue at home or work, I think of Melinda and how she would tackle the situation.”

Melinda Webster, who has been with Biscuitville since February of 2022, believes that inspiring someone else is as simple as listening to them and learning more about what they are passionate about, their aspirations and some of their concerns. These questions can spark something in them that they didn’t know existed.

“Inclusiveness has no downside because the possibilities are endless,” says Melinda. “I am contributing to inclusivity by listening, encouraging, being flexbile, learning and growing along the way.”

Just as Melinda has inspired Belinda, Biscuitville is committed to inspiring more women by fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. Everyone’s perspective matters, and by embracing differences, we build a better, more inclusive workplace.
