The National Food Service Security Council (NFSSC) is pleased to announce that Don M. Fox, CEO, Firehouse of America, will serve as a keynote at its 34th-Annual Conference, August 4–7, in Las Vegas.
NFSSC is the leading trade association for loss prevention, risk management, and security professionals in the quick-service and chain-restaurant industry.
“We are honored to be able to feature an industry leader and experienced operator like Don Fox,” says Jim Forlenza, executive director, NFSSC. “Mr. Fox follows in the great line of restaurant executives who have keynoted the annual meeting. NFSSC has a strong tradition of delivering quality, thought-provoking executive speakers, and Mr. Fox will certainly add to that long list of executive leaders.”
James Brussow, Dave and Buster’s and NFSSC president, says, “Don Fox is truly one of the industry’s influential and innovative leaders. His career is truly unique. We are excited to offer our members an opportunity to hear his views on the LP industry.”
As head of Firehouse of America, Fox leads the strategic, nationwide growth of Firehouse Subs. He also serves as its chief spokesperson, sits on various boards of influence in the restaurant community—including recently being appointed to the National Restaurant Association Board of Directors—and is a respected speaker, commentator, author, and blogger.
Under his leadership, the brand has grown from 65 restaurants to more than 580 restaurants in 34 states and Puerto Rico, and is consistently recognized as one of the best franchises in the country.
Fox gives back to the restaurant community through active participation on various boards of influence, most notably in his current role as chairman of the National Restaurant Association’s Fast Casual Industry Council.
NFSSC will host its 34th-Annual Conference at the M Resort Spa and Casino in Las Vegas. In addition to the keynote presenters, the event features educational sessions and workshops, roundtables, exhibits, scheduled practitioner/vendor meetings, and a host of entertaining networking functions.
Topics will range from social media and emerging technologies to analytics, audits, and safety programs, including a mock active shooter session.
The education program will highlight speakers from the restaurant and foodservice industries, presenting real-world topics and best practices and offering a host of solutions and insights for everyday situations.
NFSSC will be announcing other major industry speakers over the next several months.
