MUTTS Canine Cantina has announced their fall internship, the Puptern, which will pay one “lucky dog” to play with pooches all day. In this role, the Puptern will greet MUTTS members with a friendly face, while offering to play and pet with their dogs and that’s it.

The Puptern internship is as simple as it gets—get paid to play with dogs. Along with roaming the small and large dog parks and enjoying the company of Dallas-Fort Worth’s furry friends and their owners, MUTTS will also host the Puptern with signature food and drinks such as the MUTTS Original Chicken Sandwich, burgers, fried pickles, crinkle cut fries, milkshakes, and more.

“We are looking forward to hiring our first ever Puptern,” said Kyle Noonan, co-founder of MUTTS Canine Cantina. “There aren’t many opportunities out there that pay interns to strictly play with dogs all day long. Typically, there may be other responsibilities that come with the job, but not this one. I’d be lying if I said this is going to be one ‘ruff’ internship.”

Dog lovers can apply for the Puptern internship on the @muttscantina Instagram page. From Monday, October 29 through Monday, November 12, MUTTS will be accepting applications for the position. Applicants must post a fun and engaging photo or video on their personal Instagram account that explains why they would be the best Puptern for MUTTS. The applicant must tag @muttscantina and use the hashtag #MUTTSpuptern within their caption. Instagram accounts must be public for the MUTTS team to view the post.

Once the application process has closed, MUTTS will contact the selected Puptern to coordinate specific details pertaining to his/her situation, including identifying a schedule based on availability and discussing travel arrangements if applicable. MUTTS is flexible and willing to work around the selected candidate’s schedule.

In order to be qualified for the Puptern internship, candidates must be 18 years of age and not have any allergies toward canines. Additionally, the position is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area so applicants must be willing to commute for the internship.
