Rita’s Italian Ice is observing National Frozen Custard Day on August 8 by offering their award-winning frozen custard for just 99 cents. For more than 25 years, Rita’s has been serving up old-fashioned frozen custard with a smile. Richer, creamier and better than ice cream, Rita’s sidekick to Italian Ice has its own day, too. Guests can learn about what sets Rita’s frozen custard apart by visiting the brand’s Facebook page.
Participating Rita’s shops will be offering a promotional size frozen custard in a cup or cone for just 99 cents. On National Frozen Custard Day, guests can visit their local Rita’s to try the delicious frozen treat in classic vanilla, chocolate or twist, with participating locations offering a variety of other flavors such as strawberry, coffee, cotton candy or orange cream to name a few. Aside from enjoying the promotional-sized cup or cone on National Frozen Custard Day, fans can also layer frozen custard with Rita’s signature Italian Ice for a Gelati, combine with toppings for a creamy and rich Concrete, or blend it in a refreshing Misto Shake to explore all the delicious ways frozen custard can be enjoyed any day of the week.
“With Rita’s tradition of First Day of Spring and giving away more than a million cups of Italian Ice each year, we’re delighted to have a day to celebrate our award-winning frozen custard and allow guests to enjoy it for less than a dollar,” says Linda Chadwick, president and CEO of Rita’s Italian Ice. “We hope to see our fans enjoying Rita’s Frozen Custard with us on August 8.”
