American Express today launched a new exciting chapter of its "Social Media Show + Tell" series for small businesses. The latest tutorial videos explain how small businesses can put the power of popular social media platform foursquare to work for them.

Accessed through American Express' new enhanced LinkedIn user group for small-business professionals, Business Knowledge Share, the videos feature Eric Friedman, director of Business Development at foursquare, explaining why small businesses should consider using the platform and giving a step-by-step primer on how to take advantage of its tools.

"As the social media landscape continues to evolve, American Express is committed to educating small-business professionals about how to harness the power of these important online platforms," says Penni Berns, vice president of Americas Merchant Marketing & Insights at American Express.

"As a vital part of our economy, small businesses need to have every tool at their disposal to help them grow, and we are excited to offer the Business Knowledge Share group as an innovative new channel through which we can empower small businesses to succeed."

The "Social Media Show + Tell" videos aim to demystify social media platforms for small businesses by providing easy-to-understand commentary and advice from the leading experts behind each of the platforms.

Each video shows how small businesses can take advantage of different social media platforms, walks businesses through each step of the registration process, and clearly illustrates the business potential of engaging customers in an ongoing dialogue. Further, group members will be able to engage directly with the featured platform expert to ask questions.

Coupled with the collaborative community of Business Knowledge Share, small businesses now have relevant, actionable insights in a single, easily accessible location. "Social Media Show + Tell" launched in January with videos containing tips and advice on how to take advantage of Facebook. Additional videos will follow in the next few months.

Membership in the Business Knowledge Share LinkedIn user group stands at more than 4,500 members, and has more than doubled since the launch of the Facebook videos a few weeks ago.

Group members include small business owners, entrepreneurs, and social media experts. The group offers members practical advice and tips about how to grow their businesses, while providing a community of like-minded peers to exchange news, ideas, and support.
