Surcheros is bringing back three guest favorites. Beginning September 21, the Mini Burrito and Mini Quesadilla return to the menu at all Surcheros locations, joined by banana peppers on the Fresh Toppings bar.
The Minis have a devoted following, and those guests made sure Surcheros knew it. Requests came in through the app, at the counter and across social media, and the brand listened. On Sept. 21, the Mini Burrito and Mini Quesadilla are back where they belong. “Our guests told us what they missed, and we listened,” said Luke Christian, founder and CEO of Surcheros. “The Minis have always had a loyal following. Bringing them back is our way of saying thank you to the people who kept asking for them by name.”
The Mini Burrito starts with a 10-inch flour or wheat tortilla and comes with chips and salsa. Guests choose grilled chicken, ground beef, or carnitas, with grilled steak available for an extra cost, then load it up from the full Fresh Toppings bar and finish it with a sauce. It is the same build guests know from the Surcheros Burrito, sized for a lighter appetite.
The Mini Quesadilla is built on an 8-inch flour tortilla and served with chips and salsa. It starts with cheese, takes the guest’s choice of meat and toppings, and is grilled and folded before serving. The Mini items are back on the menu for guests who want everything Surcheros does well in a smaller portion. They have long been a go-to for a lighter lunch, and for anyone who wants to leave room for queso or guacamole on the side.
Banana peppers rejoin the Fresh Toppings bar the same day, available on any build-your-own entrée for guests who like a little tang without much heat.
