Einstein Bros. and Noah’s Bagels today announced the names of the three prize winners of their Flip the Lip contest, the brands’ biggest beverage promotion ever. The grand prize winner, Denci A. De La Cruz of Jersey City, New Jersey, drives away with a new 2010 Ford Fusion, valued at $32,500.
A duo of dream trips were doled out as well. Aniseto Bernal from Riverbank, California, is the Flip the Lip first place prize winner and will head to Hawaii with three guests for a seven-night stay at the Hilton Waikoloa Village in Waikoloa, Hawaii. The prize is valued at $7,700 and includes round-trip airfare.
The second place prize winner is Louis Astbury III of Whittier, California, who is going on a golf getaway with a guest to the lavish La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, California. The trip, valued at $3,525, includes airfare and three rounds of golf.
“Seeing how much our customers enjoyed the opportunity to win through the promotion certainly reinforced with us how passionate people are for Einstein Bros. and Noah’s Bagels,” says James O’Reilly, chief concept officer of Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Inc. “We made one out of every nine customers a winner. This was a great way for us to thank our loyal customers and new fans of the brand by giving them tons of free food, drinks, and a chance at three amazing prizes. Flip the Lip was our biggest and most ambitious beverage promotion in company history, and we are very encouraged with the strong consumer response to it.”
Einstein Bros. and Noah’s Bagels served up more than 325,000 tasty food and drink prizes as part of its first Flip the Lip promotion, which began on March 3, and continued through April 28, 2010. A second-chance draw also was used to determine prize winners.
To participate, customers purchased a 16 or 20-ounce coffee, or a 20-ounce soft drink, and received a promotional cup. The customer could then unroll the lip of the cup to find out instantly if they were a winner.
