Café Yumm! will celebrate the opening of its first Washington state location in downtown Seattle by serving free Yumm! Bowls on Saturday, November 2, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The new restaurant is located in downtown Seattle at 717 Pine St. in a prime location near the Pike Street Public Market, Washington State Convention Center, hotels, office buildings, and housing.

Café Yumm! is known throughout the Northwest for its signature Yumm! Sauce and Yumm! Bowls that include locally sourced and certified organic ingredients. Meals feature chicken and turkey, wild North Pacific salmon, and many options for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and other specialty diets. The menu also offers a variety of bentos, sandwiches, salads, and soups.

Local franchisees Brad and Jennifer Langford, who previously owned pizza franchises in Washington and Illinois, say Café Yumm! will be a welcome addition to the Seattle restaurant scene.

“We wanted to offer guests something unique, fast and healthy,” Brad says. “After asking friends in Oregon about Café Yumm! and visiting restaurants in Portland, we knew we’d found the right mix. There’s just nothing like it that tastes so good!”

The Langfords expect to spend over $250,000 on tenant improvements for the new restaurant. At slightly over 1,900 square feet, the restaurant is built to Gold LEED for retail standards and includes wall and floor coverings made from agricultural waste, water and energy saving features, zero VOC paint, and LED lighting. The colors and sustainable elements result in a distinctive interior design.

The new store is the 12th Café Yumm! location; the other 11 are located throughout Oregon. Yumm! Sauce can be found in more than 120 grocery stores throughout Oregon, Washington, and Northern California. Franchise opportunities are available in all western states.
