Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop, known for its award-winning, hand-crafted sandwiches, signed a franchise agreement to bring three new Capriotti’s locations to the Las Vegas market over the next two years, with the first new shop expected to open in June at 5020 Blue Diamond Road.
Capriotti’s is known for its 40-year nightly tradition of slow-roasting whole, all-natural turkeys in-house and hand-shredding them each morning to feature in a variety of fan-favorite subs. This includes The Bobbie, the shop’s acclaimed best-seller, made with homemade turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing and mayo on a soft roll.
The new locations will be owned by multi-unit franchisees Corey Melendrez and Thomas Gourley, who currently own seven additional Capriotti’s locations throughout the Las Vegas market. The two have a combined 40+ years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industries.
“Our passion for Capriotti’s – for the product, the people and the customers – runs deep,” said Gourley. “Contributing to the brand legacy right here in Las Vegas is an honor, and one we look forward to continuing as we open additional locations in the coming years.”
Capriotti’s has more than 100 fast-casual restaurant locations across the country, with a strong presence on the East Coast and West Coast.
“Corey and Thomas have played an essential role in building the Capriotti’s footprint throughout Las Vegas and truly understand our vision for continued growth and development,” says David Bloom, chief development officer.
Capriotti’s will open 15 new shops in 2017 and will grow the brand to 500 locations by 2025 through franchising. Capriotti’s has franchise opportunities for single and multi-unit developers, and is seeking additional franchise partners in Nevada to develop the Reno market.
