Chick N Max is expanding once again. Responding to consumer demands for healthier proteins offered in creative ways, Chick N Max is bringing their innovative take on chicken to their next location at 352 S. West St. (at Maple) in November 2019. It joins existing Wichita, Kansas, locations at 2350 N Greenwich Road and 3520 N. Maize Road.
“We have received so much support from the Wichita community since we opened and we are really excited to bring Chick N Max to this neighborhood,” says Max Sheets, founder of Chick N Max. “We chose this location because it should be strong for lunch and dinner on weekdays and weekends.”
Chick N Max was founded in 2018 by restaurant industry veteran Max Sheets. With a career in restaurant development that spans more than three decades, Sheets conceptualized the concept with GHA Design Lab and assembled a team of culinary professionals to perfect the menu of chicken tenders, wings, and smoked chicken. The country’s first Chick N Max landed in the heart of Wichita, Kansas, a metro area long known for ties to successful restaurant start-ups and entrepreneurial genius. Chick N Max now has four locations throughout Wichita, with more on the way in Kansas and beyond.
The menu has something for everyone, with options for those looking to indulge to guests looking for a healthier take on traditional fast-casual chicken offerings. Choose from a satisfying mix of chicken tenders, wings, breast and thigh meals, and family meals, as well as their recently expanded line of sandwiches. Smoked chicken takes center stage with each sandwich, starting with their signature almond-smoked chicken. From there, guests can choose from pulled smoked chicken or fried chicken breasts, which features their proprietary blend of batter, flour, and spices. The almond wood used in every smoker is from the central valley of California and imparts a subtle flavor that enhances the chicken flavor without overpowering it. Guests can complete their meal with a wide range of house-made sides and sauces that are made daily to ensure the highest quality and the best taste. Rounding out the menu is an expanded beverage line with flavored teas, fresh lemonade, watermelon lime fresca, and agave flavored real sodas.
In November, all Chick N Max locations will debut two new sandwich flavors, Nashville Hot and Pimento Peach.
Each Chick N Max is designed for a streamlined ordering process with a welcoming atmosphere. The new restaurant is 2400sq foot and will have 100 seats. It features an updated brand design with warm colors, stained concrete floors, and hardwood accents and trim throughout the space. The Drive Thru window makes ordering convenient and easy for those on the go. Like all locations, 352 S. West St., will feature an in-house smoker which uses their signature almond wood. Commonly only seen at full-service barbeque spots, the smokers at each Chick N Max location makes it a truly unique dining experience.
Guests can choose from dine in, take home, catering, or delivery at Chick N Max. Rounding out the experience in all locations is Radio Max, a specially curated music playlist of feel-good rock classics hosted by long-time local radio personality Cathy Carrier and Max Sheets.
