Dos Toros Taqueria, the San Francisco-inspired fast casual restaurant company, is crossing the Hudson River, opening its 19th New York area location in Florham Park, NJ on July 20. This will be the company’s 23rd location.
The new taqueria will be located at 176 Columbia Turnpike in Florham Park, NJ with over 50 seats available, serving the surrounding New Jersey areas. Dos Toros will serve customizable burritos, bowls, salads, tacos, quesadillas and nachos, all created using fresh ingredients and 100 percent naturally raised meats. Additionally, a full catering menu will be available.
Dos Toros’ commitment to the community extends beyond providing only the freshest ingredients for its customers. As part of the grand opening, the new location will continue to support long-standing company partner and Harlem-based charity, Getting Out and Staying Out, a non-profit organization that works to empower young men involved in NYC’s criminal justice system to reshape their futures. Through these ongoing efforts over the past four years, Dos Toros works with the GOSO program to employ formerly incarcerated individuals throughout their restaurants. On opening day at the Florham Park location, Dos Toros will be offering $5 burritos and donating 100% of proceeds to GOSO. Further, Dos Toros will be offering a $5 promotion for the remainder of the grand opening week.
“We are excited to continue expanding Dos Toros Taqueria with the opening of our first New Jersey location,” says co-CEO & co-founder, Leo Kremer. “Dos Toros has grown tremendously over the past ten years and we look forward to continuing to bring our San Francisco-inspired food and fresh, natural ingredients to our loyal customers.”
The New York City-based business was founded by the Kremer brothers – Leo and Oliver – who opened their first restaurant ten years ago near bustling Union Square. Dos Toros was created in response to a gap in the market for the Mission-style burrito and quintessential taqueria known to the San Francisco area. The brand has since expanded to 23 locations in New York City, Chicago and now, New Jersey, and has recently been acquired by Founders Table Restaurant Group, which also owns Chopt Creative Salad Co.. To this day, the Kremer brothers remain deeply committed to the day-to-day operations of Dos Toros.
