Fort Worth, Texas–based Fuzzy's Taco Shop, the award-winning, fast-casual, Baja-style Mexican restaurant group, launched its annual "Cups for Kids" fundraising campaign last week. Through the end of March, with every souvenir drink cup sold at participating locations, 25 cents will go to the charity A Wish With Wings, which "grants magical wishes to children with life-threatening conditions."
Over the last five years, Fuzzy's Taco Shop's annual souvenir cup campaign has donated a total of $65,000 to A Wish With Wings, and expects this year's campaign to be its largest, with 34 corporate- and franchisee-owned locations in Texas participating.
"This year's souvenir cup sports the three words that best define our brand: 'Fresh, Fast, Fun,’" says Fuzzy's Taco Shop founder and president Chuck Bush, who is on A Wish With Wings' board of directors. On the opposite side of the souvenir cup is the company logo, and the cup comes with soft drinks/ ice tea priced at $1.99– $2.29. Diners can return to any Fuzzy's Taco Shop with their souvenir cup and refill it for only $1.
Bush adds, "A Wish With Wings is an upstanding organization that is making a big difference in the lives of Texas children. We are honored to be affiliated with these folks, and hope this year's souvenir cup campaign is our biggest to date." Fuzzy's Taco Shop also supports the organization every year by hosting an industry golf tournament. Through its golf tournaments and souvenir cup campaigns, so far Fuzzy's Taco Shop has raised $118,000 for A Wish With Wings.
