Mama Fu’s Asian House, the Austin, Texas–based restaurant concept specializing in fresh and innovative Asian cuisine, announced the appointment of Steve Burt as president and chief financial officer. Bringing years of executive leadership and financial experience to the position, Burt will drive the development and execution of financial and administrative operations in support of the company’s rapid growth and fueled by its extensive store expansion.

As one of the industry’s forward-thinking executives, Burt, a certified public accountant, has a proven track record in building and analyzing successful corporate finance strategies for retail and fast casual restaurant companies.

Most recently, Burt served as chief financial officer of Twin Liquors, a leading Texas retailer/wholesaler of spirits, wine, and beer. Prior to Twin Liquors, Burt spent over seven years at MGI Holdings/Mr. Gatti’s, LP, serving as president and chief financial officer and helping to guide the company to a successful exit transaction in June 2015.
