Manhattan Bagel is now offering two new chipotle lunch dishes at all locations for a limited time only, until July 1, 2010.

“Our two new chipotle lunch items fit in perfectly with our goal to be at the leading edge of what casual bakery customers want,” says James O’Reilly, Chief Concept Officer of Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Inc., the franchiser of Manhattan Bagel.

Native to many Mexican dishes, chipotle flavors now enjoy widespread popularity throughout the U.S. in a variety of dishes. Manhattan Bagel has developed a way to incorporate this taste into two new lunch items:

·Turkey Chipotle Wrap – Turkey wrapped and ready to go with Southwest corn & black bean salsa, chipotle dressing, jalapeño salsa cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, tomatoes, and mixed greens.

·Chicken Chipotle Salad – Grilled chicken in a salad of mixed greens, Southwest corn and black bean salsa, chipotle dressing, cheddar, Monterey Jack cheese, and tomatoes – topped with tortilla chips.

“Chipotle is a key ingredient that brings a relatively mild but earthy spiciness to our two new lunch items,” O’Reilly says.

To celebrate the launch of the new lunch items, Manhattan Bagel is giving local consumers several savings opportunities. Through direct mail and in local newspapers, Manhattan Bagel is providing its customers special offers, such as buy one lunch sandwich or salad and get another free with the purchase of two beverages, a free drink and chips with the purchase of a sandwich or salad, and a free cookie with the purchase of a lunch sandwich or salad.
