Mama Fu’s Asian House is opening its fourth Austin, Texas, location at 100 Colorado St., in the heart of downtown’s Second Street District.

Located at the corner of Colorado and Cesar Chavez streets, the newest Mama Fu’s restaurant is opening in later this month. The Mama Fu’s outdoor patio, which seats more than 70 diners, provides a truly Austin experience, as it overlooks the iconic Congress Street Bridge and Lady Bird Lake.

Inside, the warm, contemporary décor provides a soothing yet vibrant backdrop for enjoying a freshly woked meal and a cup of hot tea. Diners can also satisfy their desires for a more sophisticated beverage by choosing from Mama Fu’s extensive full-bar menu, exclusively available at the Second Street District location. With indoor seating for 85 guests, the new Mama Fu’s restaurant offers downtown diners a more convenient choice for lunch, dinner and happy hour.

Currently, there are 13 Mama Fu’s locations across the Southeast United States, with two more Central Texas locations opening by mid-2009, and 150 new restaurant openings planned by 2013. Murphy and Adams recently brought on restaurant industry veteran Steve MacManus as chief operations officer, who will help grow the franchise portion of Mama Fu’s business. The company plans to begin selling additional franchise locations in December 2008.
