Captain D’s rang in the New Year reminding customers of the fast-casual restaurant’s healthy options. The Nashville, Tennessee-based seafood chain has seen more than a 25% increase in grilled menu item sales compared with last January. They announced the launch of their “D-Lite Meals” menu featuring five meals under 500 calories at the beginning of the month.
“We took our new grilled menu to the next level with the D-Lites options,” says Jonathan Muhtar, CMO at Captain D’s. “We know that our guests are looking for ways to eat healthier in 2015 while not sacrificing flavor, so we’re making it easy for them to reach their goals and enjoy a great-tasting meal.”
The D- Lites menu features tilapia, wild alaskan salmon, shrimp skewers, grilled chicken breast, and surf and turf (grilled steak tips and shrimp skewers), all served on a bed of rice with a side of broccoli and green beans.
“Our grilled menu is just another example of the menu innovation and brand experience enhancements that are solidifying our position as the premier seafood restaurant in the fast casual category,” Muhtar says.
